College News | The First Young Teachers' Teaching Ability Exhibition Competition for Ideological and Political Courses at Nanjing University was successfully held

 In order to implement the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, promote the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses, solidly enhance the teaching ability of young teachers of ideological and political courses at Nanjing University, and serve the construction of our university's ideological and political education personality bureau, on May 18, 2025, the School of Marxism at Nanjing University and the Nanjing University Teacher Teaching Development Center successfully held the first Nanjing University Young Teacher Teaching Ability Exhibition Competition for Ideological and Political Courses at Xianlin Campus. 30 ideological and political course teachers and undergraduate counselors from the School of Marxism, Youxun Academy, and Kaijia Academy of Nanjing University participated in this competition.

Innovation competition showcases style

 The 30 teachers selected relevant chapters in the undergraduate ideological and political course textbook to focus on cultural self-confidence, red culture, Chinese path to modernization and other topics for on-site teaching. The participating teachers cleverly used cases with a strong sense of the times, vivid and innovative interactive forms, and beautifully crafted courseware to present a high-level, deep, and warm ideological and political course. From the fierce confrontation of the China US tariff game to the steady layout of China's characteristic diplomacy, they closely followed the hot topics of the times and the international forefront, deeply cultivated the teaching content, and deeply analyzed and presented the complex situation of international relations and diplomatic wisdom in the classroom. From the profound foundation of building a socialist culture with Chinese characteristics with firm cultural self-confidence to the grand practice of Chinese path to modernization creating a new form of human civilization, they based on the pulse of the times and the forefront of theory, analyzed in simple terms, and explained the profound connotation of cultural self-confidence and civilization development in the classroom. The teachers, with their solid theoretical foundation, superb teaching skills, and full spirit, fully demonstrated the style and level of the ideological and political education teaching team at Nanjing University.

何畏教授肯定公司思政课教师将学术成果融入课堂、创新设计课件的做法,并有针对性地提出了三点建议:一是处理好教学与科研的关系,实现“教学问题—学术选题—教学专题”的转化;二是处理好理论与案例的关系,选择具有典型性和亲和性的案例增强理论教学的效果;三是处理好独白与共鸣的关系,构建师生、师师、生生多维互动模式。

胡立法教授指出讲好思政课不易,青年教师要注重运用多种教学方法,精准设计教学重难点,授课时讲究详略得当。同时,要区分授课、演讲和学术报告的差异性,避免混淆教学的本质。

汤建龙教授评价参赛教师们表现优异,授课内容立足讲台、吸引员工,展现了扎实的教学功底和良好的课堂驾驭能力。并进一步建议参赛教师应加强对授课内容的选择,尽可能地将教材内容与授课所在学院的专业背景相结合,加强显性互动,增强课堂中的员工的主体性。

戴锐教授赞扬参赛教师们各有风格,同台竞技,精彩纷呈。随后他从三个方面提出了建议:首先是应当在比赛中重视选题,合理排布讲授内容与时间节奏;其次是要认真把握扣题准确性,加强理论阐述准确性;最后勉励各位老师要自觉精进教学艺术,做好生动的课堂引入,通过激情感染员工、实现师生共鸣。

Closing Ceremony
Continuing the original aspiration, forging ahead with determination


Li Qiankun, Vice Dean of the School of Marxism, presided over the closing ceremony. Director Cheng Boqing of the Teacher Teaching Development Center made a concluding speech. He pointed out that Nanjing University attaches great importance to teaching work. This teaching competition has gathered many outstanding young teachers who have carefully prepared for the competition and demonstrated their talents with different teaching styles, showcasing Nanjing University's first-class teaching level and talent cultivation philosophy. He encourages young teachers to further polish the classroom, enhance its attractiveness to students, and stimulate students' interest in learning through active thinking. He stated that the Education Development Center will take this competition as an opportunity to further strengthen its support for all teachers in the school, and take more practical measures to balance and optimize the relationship between public course teaching tasks and teachers' personal development.

Shi Yu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Marxism, delivered a speech of thanks. She sincerely thanks the judges, participating teachers, and retired teachers for their participation and support. This competition responds to the call for the construction of national key horse racing institutes, actively implements the requirements of the ideological and political education reform of the Education Commission, and aims to work with the Education Development Center to build a platform for young teachers to exchange and improve teaching skills, teaching art, and teaching design. In future teaching activities, young teachers will more accurately integrate teaching autonomy and student subjectivity, cleverly combine academic research with classroom expression, and more accurately grasp the publicity and learning rationality of classroom content. As educators in the new era of higher education, we should have a high degree of political consciousness and strong sense of responsibility, shoulder the sacred mission of cultivating talents for the Party and the country, deeply explore the contemporary connotation and practical value of the Party's innovative theory, make good use of classroom education as the main channel, and explain the Party's innovative theory well, thoroughly, and vividly.

Marxist College teachers actively participated in this competition, and the contestants achieved full coverage of young teachers under the age of 40. All members of the college team, as well as more than ten retired teachers including Wang Suoming, Zhou Chunmei, and Zhou Fangyu, served as judges. The competition also invited four undergraduate students to serve as student representative judges.
