On the afternoon of May 9th, our college held a student symposium on the revision of the undergraduate talent training plan for Marxist theory. Vice Dean Li Qiankun and representatives of young teachers Cheng Wenxia and Wu Qiuyi, as well as undergraduate counselor Wang Zesen, exchanged ideas with undergraduate representatives. Firstly, Professor Li Qiankun explained the preliminary preparation work and revision plan for the college's undergraduate talent training program revision, and hoped that undergraduate representatives could freely express their opinions on curriculum design and other issues based on their own learning experience.

Representatives of the attending teachers and students had in-depth exchanges on several aspects, including the optimization of undergraduate professional course settings, teaching methods and content, practical teaching curriculum system, and guidance and management for academic and graduation theses. During the speech and discussion, the representatives of teachers and students also discussed the positioning of the goal of cultivating undergraduate talents in Marxist theory. Teacher Li Qiankun responded to the opinions of his classmates one by one and formulated preliminary solutions. Teacher Li conveyed to the students the high importance that the college leadership attaches to the cultivation of undergraduate students, and mentioned that as an undergraduate major highly valued by the Party and the country, the methods and approaches for cultivating undergraduate talents in Marxist theory are actively being explored. Our college will continuously optimize the curriculum system, enrich the course content, and make practical teaching more systematic and in-depth in the revision of the training plan. We will strive to build a Marxist theory undergraduate major with Nanjing University characteristics that is "solid foundation, broad vision, and strong practice", and cultivate young Marxists who are determined to "believe in horses, speak horses, and learn and use horses" in the new era.

Our college will enroll the first batch of undergraduate students majoring in Marxist theory in 2021, and the first batch of undergraduate graduates will be available this year.
