Professor Li Zhongjie gave a lecture titled "The Historical Process and Important Enlightenment of Party Conduct Construction", focusing on General Secretary Xi Jinping's proposal that the Party's work style is related to the Party's image, people's support, and the Party's life and death. He conducted a historic review and in-depth interpretation of the Party's work style construction from four stages: the period of the New Democratic Revolution, the period of socialist revolution and construction, the new era of reform and opening up and socialist modernization construction, and the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

   Firstly, hone oneself in the flames of revolutionary struggle. Professor Li Zhongjie pointed out that the red ship of the CPC was conceived in Beijing, made in Shanghai and set sail in the South Lake. The good or bad style of the Party is related to whether our Party can choose a correct path, find a correct path to save the country, and gain the support of the masses. Professor Li Zhongjie further elaborated on the construction of the Party's work style by combining the resolutions and regulations made at important conferences such as the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Gutian Conference, Zunyi Conference, Sixth Plenary Session of the Sixth Central Committee, Seventh Plenary Session, and Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee.

   Secondly, it is difficult to explore on the stage of governance and construction. Professor Li Zhongjie starts from a series of specific decisions, regulations, and notices issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Central People's Government, and the State Council in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and combines vivid cases to sort out and clarify the historical process and important role of the Party in strengthening its work style construction during the socialist revolution and construction period.

   Thirdly, meet challenges in the process of reform and opening up. Based on the domestic and international situation at that time, Professor Li Zhongjie combed the important statements of Deng Xiaoping, Chen Yun and other leaders on the construction of the Party's style of work, and combined with the Several Guidelines for Political Life within the Party adopted at the Fifth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC, he also used various vivid cases to explain, deepen the understanding of teachers and students on the construction of style of work.

   Fourth, win the initiative in the game of two overall situations. Professor Li Zhongjie combed the relevant regulations and theme education activities issued by the CPC to strengthen the style construction since the new era, and deeply analyzed the importance and necessity of the current style construction of the party. Professor Li Zhongjie pointed out that the construction of the Party's work style is not just about the "Eight point Regulations", but should take the "Eight point Regulations" as a starting point to lead the comprehensive changes of the entire Party style, political style, and social style.

   Through a historical review of the construction of the Party's work style, Professor Li Zhongjie has condensed four important insights: firstly, the Party's work style is a direct reflection of its nature and purpose; Secondly, we must always consider the construction of work style from the perspective of life and death; Thirdly, the construction of the Party's work style is always on the road; Fourth, we need to answer two historical 'heavenly questions' with two historical answers.

   At the end of the lecture, Professor Li Zhongjie had a discussion with the teachers and students present on the content of the lecture. This lecture helped the teachers and students of the Marxist Academy to have a deeper understanding of the important significance of implementing the spirit of the Central Eight point Regulation.
